Evidence review for factual material before publication.
Starting at $1,750 for qualifying inquiries.
Writers, publishers, audio producers, and video creators need to know whether factual assertions are adequately supported. Infosourceful reviews an agreed set of claims in supplied material against appropriate independent sources and reports the results in a usable editorial format.
What this is for
A supplied passage, short segment, or other bounded piece of nonfiction material containing a small, agreed group of factual claims.
You provide the material and its intended use. We identify the claims to be checked and agree on the research boundaries before work begins.
What you receive
A claim-level findings register or annotated brief containing:
- The factual claims reviewed, linked to the relevant supplied material.
- Supporting source references.
- Findings that support, contradict, or qualify each claim.
- Identified discrepancies and unresolved questions.
- Relevant limitations in the available evidence.
- Suggestions for further verification where appropriate.
The deliverable helps you see which statements have support, which require qualification, and which remain unresolved.
What the starting scope includes
The starting offer covers one supplied segment or excerpt, one small agreed claim cluster, a defined source universe, and one completed findings deliverable.
The $1,750 starting price applies to qualifying narrow assignments. Scope depends on the claims and the work required to verify them; length alone does not determine the research effort.
When a custom quote is needed
A broader fixed-fee proposal may be needed for:
- Whole-episode or full-manuscript fact-checking.
- Multiple segments or larger groups of claims.
- Extensive archival or historical research.
- Primary interviews.
- Original background research or source discovery.
- Complex publication or copyright-history research.
Original content development and broader media research are separate assignments. Requirements for specialist legal or scientific review are identified during scoping.
Publication and rights boundaries
Editorial research can identify rights questions, publication histories, and gaps in documentation. Infosourceful does not provide legal opinions, certify copyright clearance, or grant permission to use third-party material.
You retain responsibility for publication decisions and any required permissions. A factual claim may remain unresolved when the available evidence is insufficient.
Tell us what you are preparing
Describe the material, the claims you need checked, and your publication deadline. Your initial consultation and written quote are complimentary.
Please describe confidential or unpublished material in the initial inquiry; we can arrange an appropriate method for exchanging it after reviewing your request.
